The story of Maso Ebnicher is the story of a bond that was born on the Renon plateau in Soprabolzano and that has united the Tauferer family with the Kettmeir winery for three generations. And it is right here, at 800 meters and a little more than altitude, where the mountain is more severe, that with indomitable passion, the longest-lived vines challenge the extremities, giving life to their most composite essence. The stiffness does not frighten them, the cold does not intimidate them, the wind, which here is never indulgent, does not bend them. The extreme slopes of the hills do not prevent the roots of the vine from clinging vehemently to the ground, as if to shatter it under the grip of their woody arms. Around them, the porphyry-rich earth is as red as bronze and in the depths of this sandy bed they glide eagerly in search of water, which will quench their thirst and nourish their fruits. All this for them is not limit but life, where others perish, they shine and release all the wonder of their being. A concert of aromas is released imposing but at the same time graceful and explodes, bewitching the senses. Very strong is the vortex of perfumes in which the nose and then the palate are pushed, kidnapped by the intoxicating elegant and decisive balsamic notes.
